What’s on your plate: it is a dossier that explains how the warning and food safety system works in Italy and in Europe. The Escherichia coli 0 104 epidemic that hit Germany a month ago, as well as the blue mozzarella affair are just some of the cases that the alert system has had to deal with.

What’s on the plate tells the buffaloes disclosed on the net and in the newspapers (pasteurized milk 5 times, burgers that never mold, the tale of the Chinese tomato invasion, polluted Pangasius fish), focuses attention on false news published by the media (canceled the law on adulterated foods, compulsory label of origin….) and on the tricks invented by some producers to do business.

A chapter is dedicated to commercials and misleading advertisements signed by large companies such as: Lazzaroni, Coca-Cola, Kilocal, Danacol… censored by the Antitrust and the Jury. These are judgments that newspapers do not usually publish for reasons of expediency.
