Recipe of Orsagiuliva …. or bites of mushrooms and cheese breaded in dried fruit, served with fruit jelly and mixed salad. Who said that English cuisine is disgraceful? Maybe even me, before my father took me to some traditional restaurant in London, and to end up in the very ancient and fascinating pub in the London suburbs, where my cousin worked for several seasons. That’s where I tasted the breaded mushrooms and cheese served separately with a berry jelly. Finding them exquisite, I made it an autumn appetizer, served with rennet apple jam made by mommy – in the center of the plate in a small bowl (or from a homemade cuthney sauce), with the salad from the garden at moments enriched with wild flowers, sometimes like pomegranate, almost to make it become a sort of small plate, as beautiful to look at as it is greedy to eat: I also tried to serve together some apple cakes, made with thin slices of apples passed in a very simple batter of rice flour and mineral water (and then fried) with open and appreciated results. It is up to you to serve these various foods how and with what you want, according to your ideas, your taste and your needs. Just… I suggest you don’t do it too often or your liver will scream for revenge. made with thin slices of apples passed in a very simple batter of rice flour and mineral water (and then fried) with openable and appreciated results. It is up to you to serve these various foods how and with what you want, according to your ideas, your taste and your needs. Just… I suggest you don’t do it too often or your liver will scream for revenge.
