Vinifera: celebrating the wines of the Alps in Trento

On 23 and 24 March in Trento the winemakers of the Alps are celebrated with Vinifera, but the dedicated events start from 7 March.

The beautiful city of Trento  is preparing to host the exhibition of artisanal wines of the Alps , Vinifera , scheduled at the Trento Fair on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 March . Not only the capital, but the whole region of Trentino, from 7 to 22 March, will be involved in literary aperitifs, conferences and meetings, waiting for the exhibition dedicated to wine.

THE FORUM

Among the events not to be missed, on 7 March at 6 pm, the literary aperitif Tralci e stralci, from Moby Dick to Blauwal at the Libreria two points in Trento. On March 9 in Arco, Andrea Santuliana of the Maso Bòtes farmhouse will lead you to discover the art of pruning walking among the olive trees of the company; followed by an oil tasting and a brunch accompanied by Comai wines. On Friday 15 March at the Grado 12 Enoteca in Trento, at 5.30 pm, Andrea Paternoster will present a preview of the Idromiele L’Esuberante , in the version of Mieli Thun, to the press and to the customers of the wine shop .

On 17 March in Nogaredo the winemaker Marco Zani will take you to discover the medieval village of Castel Noarna : followed by tasting of organic wines in the vineyards surrounding the Castle.among the various workshops, we talk about cider, climate change and the village of castel noarna  The Bar Circolo Santa Maria in Rovereto will host a thematic presentation and cider tasting at 7 pm on Tuesday 19 March: Gianluca Telloli from the Sidro Maley company will tell the secrets of his work among the apple fields of the Aosta Valley and Chamonix. Spring at the museum: on March 21 inside the Muse in Trento at 6 pm, the researcher Lukas Egarter Vigl will take you to discover the effects of climate change on viticulture in the high mountains . The Forum will end on March 22nd in Lavis with a visit to the Eredi di Aldo Cobelli winery and vineyard, of particular interest for the specificity of the chalk hill .

VINIFERA

The event will be a journey of love among the vines of the Alps accompanied by 60 artisan winemakers who have chosen a viticulture oriented towards sustainability and the protection of the territory.France, Austria and Slovenia will also participateThe regions involved will be Valle d’Aosta, Piedmont, Liguria, Lombardy, Trentino-Alto Adige, Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, but also the Dorner winemakers from Austria, Les Terre Promises from France, and Slovenia will arrive Klinec and Slavcek. Behind the counters of Vinifera you will find producers united by the choice to work by dedicating attention to the territory and to the people who live there. Furthermore, producers will be able to sell their wines at the fair. You will also find a selection of artisan food producers from Trentino and South Tyrol.

Saturday 23 March

Saturday 23 March at 12 noon Gianpaolo Giacobbo will lead the sensory analysis of six alpine wines refermented in the bottle . At 2.30 pm Claudio Moser and Marco Stefanini will lead the potential and limits of resistant vines , a double appointment with an eye on the future of European viticulture . At 3.30 pm Matteo Gallello of Porthos edizioni will present the essay Il vino capovolto , written by professor Jacky Rigaux and journalist and writer Sandro Sangiorgi. At 4 pm Alessia Morabito and Vea Carpi will hold a workshop on techniques and tools suitable for fermenting vegetables at home, with some examples of gourmet preparations.

Sunday 24 March

Sunday 24 at 12 there will be AltRa Quota, a tasting led by Francesco Gubert and Michele Girelli, with  mountain cheeses and mountain wines . At 2.30 pm it will be possible to immerse yourself in the future of the Trentino Alto-Adige wine system through the gaze of the young winemakers and the tasting of their wines. At 3.30 pm an unmissable vertical of Perciso , the wine that comes from a vineyard planted at the beginning of the 1900s and made up of 727 large-leaved Lambrusco strains, rediscovered and preserved by the I Dolomitici group of winemakers. Grand finale with the delivery of the La Picca d’Oro award.
