TOASTED SAUSAGE AND STRACCHINO CHEESE

The Crostoni di Salsiccia and Stracchino are a rustic appetizer that if desired can also become an excellent snack.

INGREDIANTS

  • slices Tuscan bread , better if stale (at least one day)
  • Tuscan sausages better if with garlic
  • 200/250 gr stracchino or crescenza cheese

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Peel the sausages and in a bowl mix the meat with the cheese until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
  2. Spread a generous layer of the mixture on the slices of bread and bake in a hot oven for 10/15 minutes.
  3. Before removing them, turn on the grill for a few minutes to make the golden crust.
  4. They are excellent hot, but personally I do not disdain them even cold.
