STUFFED BRESAOLA DUMPLINGS

In view of the Christmas holidays we went in search of lactose free recipes , to help our intolerant readers to find original ideas to bring to the table. A useful suggestion for a lactose-free appetizer was given to us by AILI, the Italian association for lactose-intolerant people: these Bresaola dumplings are in fact a delicious idea and really simple to make.
Here is the recipe.

INGREDIANTS

  • 24 medium-sized lactose-free bresaola slices
  • 200 gr lactose-free spreadable cheese (<0.01%)
  • 8 shelled walnuts
  • 10 strands of chives
  • pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a bowl, soften the cheese with a fork, adding pepper, chopped walnuts and chives.
  2. Mix everything until you get a homogeneous cream cheese.
  3. Arrange the slices of bresaola on the surface, considering to use 3 slices for each bundle.
  4. Add a teaspoon of the cream cheese in the center and close the bundle using the chives.
