The Santa’s muffins are the perfect sweet snack for children during the winter holidays. They are simple chocolate muffins, which take on the appearance of the inhabitant of the North Pole thanks to whipped cream and strawberries that simulate the white beard and the red hat. The basic muffins are made with dark chocolate flakes, which melt during cooking and are even more delicious with every bite. You can vary the recipe using milk chocolate or a classic white version of the muffins.

Preparing Santa’s Muffin

  1. Start by mixing the eggs with the milk and oil in a bowl, while in another bowl sift the flour, yeast, cocoa and sugar.
  2. Chop the chocolate with a knife and add it to the bowl with the dry ingredients. Mix and start to combine the liquid ingredients.
  3. Mix the mixture and work it until it is homogeneous.
  4. At this point, start filling the muffin molds up to ¾ of their height and bake in a hot oven at 190 ° C for about 20 minutes, until they are well swollen and cracked on the surface. Do the toothpick test, then remove from the oven and let it cool.
  5. Meanwhile, pour the fresh cream into a container and whisk it until stiff with an electric whisk. Carefully wash the strawberries, remove the leaves and get ready to compose the Santa Claus.
  6. Take the muffins, pour the whipped cream into a piping bag with a striped spout and start forming the decorations.
  7. Form a cream cap on each muffin, place a whole strawberry on top of it with the tip up and top off the caps with a mini marshmallow on top. To fix the marshmallow, use a piece of toothpick and stick it on the strawberry.

The muffins are ready.
