Italia in Rosa: on Lake Garda to celebrate rosé wines

From 2 to 4 June in the village of Moniga del Garda rosé wines are celebrated, with as many as 194 labels to taste and many producers to get to know better.

Do not be misled by the name because, although it seems like one of those feminine events, Italia in Rosa is in fact an event for all wine lovers , and above all in a very specific category: rosé wines . So, if you are a lover of these shades of color and taste, or simply if you want to know more, the appointment is from 2 to 4 June at Moniga del Garda (city of Chiaretto). Italia in Rosa, which is about to celebrate its tenth edition with many novelties and Guinness numbers, will take place in the characteristic location of the castle of Moniga: a sort of fortified village overlooking the romantic Lake Garda.

There are 194 labels for tasting , coming from the 132 wineries present at the event. The 33 companies associated with the Valtènesi Consortium do the honors, with the classic rosé of the Brescia Riviera del Garda. Among the novelties of this edition the massive presence of Puglia, which will be present in Italia in Rosa with as many as 26 brands, thus strengthening the strategic Valtènesi-Salento axis, sanctioned this year by the collaboration between the event in question and Roséxpo (in Lecce from 8 to 10 June). But in Italia in Rosa we will also find other regions representing the rosé: we are talking about Veneto, which will be present with 15 wineries, Tuscany, represented by the Rosae Maris – Vini Rosati di Maremma association and again Sicily and Piedmont, respectively with 7 companies for one.

These realities are joined by others enticing imposing ones such as Le Donne del Vino, the Oltrepò Pavese Consortium, the Tuscan section of the Fivi and so on, while the refined Rosé of Provence will be the guest stars of the event. In short, if you love rosé wines and want to lose yourself among the scents of wine and the beauty of Garda, this weekend you just have to go to the province of Brescia. Admission costs 10 euros and allows you to freely taste all the wines (a 3 euro deposit must be added per bag and glass which will be returned upon delivery). Parking is free and you can also bring your four-legged friends, as long as they are on a leash.
