Plating is important in a cooking class too!

Being a good chef is one thing, transmitting your passion for gastronomy is another.

How to teach cooking classes at home?

It is not mandatory to have a degree to teach cooking classes. However, it is best to practice with family and friends before diving into organizing an oenology class  for a bachelorette party or a cocktail workshop for team building .

Start by clearly defining your offer:

  • What are you going to teach? Traditional cuisine has nothing to do with molecular cuisine. You decide how to define your limits.
  • How many maximum people can there be in your classes? In the beginning, it is best to start with one student at a time. No more than three, unless you rent a room to have more space.
  • How long will your private class last ?
  • What is the  objective of the class?
  • What material do  you need?

Once your offer is defined, you can  give cooking classes at home . The main difficulty will be adapting to a new work environment with each class. Every kitchen is different and not all are spacious. The kitchen material will be different each time and you will have to adapt to teach your student culinary techniques in the best possible way.

Offer your cooking courses in Madrid or in any other city in Spain, but before putting on your chef’s hat, follow our advice to give cooking classes with more peace of mind!
