In times of Coronavirus, various small and large companies have reconverted their production , not only in the fashion and textile sector but also in the food and, above all, beverage sector.even martini has been converted to the production of sanitizers Martini has redesigned its plants in Pessione (Turin) to produce alcohol to contribute to the action of the Bacardi Group . In fact, the world’s most famous rum and spirits producer is producing 1.1 million hand sanitizers in all countries where it is present. A change that makes it possible to provide the ethanol needed for hand sanitizers, which are increasingly in demand due to the global spread of COVID-19.

In particular, the Martini plant will supply alcohol for the production of hand sanitizers that will be donated to the local community, the Red Cross and all organizations committed to dealing with the emergency.

The companies involved

With 70% alcohol , rum and other Bacardi spirits, including Martini, are in line with the recommendations of the World Health Organization to contain the spread of the virus. In addition to the Martini plant in Pessione, the other brands and plants involved are: Bacardi Rum in Puerto Rico; Bacardi Bottling Corporation in Jacksonville (Florida, USA), Bacardi Rum in Tultitlán in Mexico, Gray Goose vodka in the Cognac region of France, Bombay Sapphire gin in Hampshire (UK), Dewar’s Blended Scotch Whiskey in Aberfeldy in Scotland and Angel’s Envy Kentucky Straight Bourbon in Louisville (KY, USA).
