ASPARAGUS WITH MONTASIO AND SAN DANIELE

This recipe was suggested by Francesco Zamparo, President of the Association for the Enhancement of White Asparagus of Friuli Venezia Giulia.

INGREDIANTS

  • 16 asparagus
  • 16 slices of San Daniele raw ham
  • 100 gr montasio
  • 80 gr butter

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Boil the asparagus in abundant salted water.
  2. Drain them, dry them well and wrap them in slices of San Daniele ham sprinkling with flakes of Montasio.
  3. Arrange everything on a serving dish, grate and sprinkle the rest of Montasio, then pour over the melted butter.
