1 ice cream, 2 ingredients: how to make it at home

To prepare ice cream at home you don’t necessarily need an ice cream maker and you don’t need many things: here’s how to do it with 2 ingredients or a little more.

With phase 2 we are in late spring and the time for the first ice creams has also arrived . Comforting and refreshing, they immediately put you in a good mood, especially with the family and with the little ones after a good lunch or snack. If you don’t want to go out and get one from your trusted ice cream maker, you can quickly prepare them at home , using just a couple of ingredients . Whether you are vegetarian, celiac, lactose intolerant, there is a recipe for each of you. Let’s see some of them together.

 

  1. Fiordilatte ice cream . It is perhaps the simplest and most neutral flavor, perfect as a base for creating others. Fiordilatte ice cream is very easy to prepare: 500 ml of fresh whipping cream and about 350 grams of condensed milk are enough. Pour the unsweetened fresh cream into a bowl and whip it until stiff peaks are used with a whisk. Then add the condensed milk and continue to whisk until the mixture is smooth. Once the fiordilatte has rested for 4 hours in the freezer it is ready. Depending on the flavors you want to get, you can add chocolate chips for the stracciatella, cocoa for the chocolate, coffee or fruit. 
  2. Frozen yogurt . Also for this ice cream you need only two ingredients: yogurt and sugar. In a bowl, again with a mixer, add 500 g of plain yogurt and 100 g of sugar. Once you have a creamy mixture, place it in a frezeer to rest for half an hour. After this time, take it out, mix it and put it back in the freezer. This operation must be repeated at least 3 times. Then the frozen yogurt will be ready and just like the fiordilatte it can be used as a base for many other flavors. If you want a more full-bodied product, you can use Greek yogurt instead of the white one. 
  3. Fruit ice cream . To prepare it you can use the fruit you like best. Just clean it, cut it into small pieces and put it to rest in the freezer for at least 3 hours: it must in fact become frozen. Once ready, transfer it to a mixer or blender and add the cold cream (also vegetable) from the fridge. Blend for a few seconds and serve directly. In proportion, to obtain about half a kilo of ice cream, you need 400 g of fruit and 100 ml of cream. 
  4. Avocado and mango ice cream . A first vegan version of ice cream with only 2 ingredients is the winning combination of avocado and mango. Just clean the first one, cut it into small pieces and immediately place it in the freezer, to prevent it from blackening. Then peel the mango, cut it into cubes and put this in the freezer as well. After a couple of hours, put all the fruit in the blender and blend until you get the consistency you want.
  5. Nana Ice Cream . It is perhaps the most famous crafty, vegan ice cream, and has only 1 ingredient. The nana ice cream is prepared using only frozen banana, naturally rich in pectin, which thickens and replicates the creaminess of the ice cream. To prepare it, you can freeze the whole fruit (one per person is enough) or, even better, cut it into slices and place it in the freezer for at least 4-5 hours. Once cold, simply blend or mix it by adding a couple of tablespoons of water, drink or vegetable yogurt and blending at intervals of 10-15 seconds, until you get a creamy consistency.
